Rathfarnham Golf Club, founded in 1899, celebrates its 125th anniversary this year. The golf club is
situated at the foothill of the Dublin Mountains set in picturesque surroundings with views of the mountains, its many water features and scenic views down over the city and beyond.

The Club is looking to recruit a General Manager with immediate effect.
The General Manager will have responsibility for:
- Overseeing the day-to-day management and development of the club.
- Management of the financial budget in consultation with the Honorary
Treasurer. - Management of all staff both full-time and part-time.
- Ensuring that Health and Safety Standards are adhered to across the club.
- Ensuring a welcoming and high standard of service is provided to members and
visitors alike. - Provide support to the Club Officers, General Committee, sub committees and
any other volunteers within the organisation. - Dealing with members queries in an efficient and friendly manner.
Managing the Course Superintendent, Golf Professional, Catering Franchisee, Bar and Office staff. - Work with the General Committee to develop and implement long-term strategic
plans for the golf club.
Ideally the candidate would have experience in club management or in the hospitality industry. They should have strong inter-personal and organisational skills and sound business judgement. The role will be that of a team leader taking responsibility for the attainment of strategies and goals determined by the General Committee in an environment where the traditions and ethos of a long-established Club (1899) must be balanced with commercial reality.
Applicants must have a working knowledge of IT systems and preferably have general knowledge of the requirements of the day to day running of a golf club or sports club. The successful candidate will report to the Honorary Secretary.
