What a superb day we had in Rosslare GC for John McCormack’s Prize. There wasn’t a cloud in the sky, there was a light breeze and the course was in magnificent condition. So no excuses then.
We had invited our Education Partners to join us for the day and were delighted that Ryan Bell from Obbi Golf, Paul Dignan and John Butler, from Estrella Galicia and Carlow Brewing, came along for the day. Alister Kerr from Golf Genius set up the tournament using their software and that allowed those in the clubhouse to see the scores when they came in. We had a fantastic turnout on the day with a few guests as well to add into the mix.
Rosslare GC pulled out all the stops to make it a memorable day and boy did they succeed. Jerry Foley, recently appointed GM, had his team in full hospitality mode and they were terrific. Vice- Captain Richard Kennedy was on hand at the first tee to greet everyone teeing off and Chairman Michael Roche also took an active part in the proceedings.
