Skerries Golf Club (SGC) is a prestigious members’ club with a proud history and a vibrant community.
Nestled in the picturesque setting of North County Dublin, SGC is preparing to celebrate its 120th
anniversary in 2025 - a milestone year that will honor our legacy while setting the stage for an ambitious
and sustainable future.
The Club is embarking on an exciting new strategic cycle and is seeking a driven, dynamic General
Manager to lead its operations and deliver its vision for growth and development. This pivotal role will
ensure that SGC continues to thrive as a premier destination for golfers and a welcoming space for
members and guests.
THE ROLE
The General Manager will oversee all aspects of club operations, including:
• Course and Clubhouse Management: Ensuring the golf course and clubhouse facilities operate at
the highest standards. Engaging and managing our appointed partners Carr Golf (Golf Course) and
J&M Cuisine (Club House Restaurant & Bar).
• Strategic Implementation: Delivering the Club’s strategic objectives, fostering growth across
diverse revenue streams, and enhancing member and guest experiences.
• Financial Oversight: Managing budgets, optimizing resources, and driving fi nancial sustainability.
• Team Leadership: Inspiring and managing a diverse team of staff and collaborating effectively with
the voluntary members’ management committee.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
The ideal candidate will bring:
• Experience: A minimum of six years in a senior management role, preferably with oversight of
complex operations and multiple revenue streams. Experience in a member-led or volunteer-driven
environment is a signifi cant plus.
• Strategic Expertise: Proven success in delivering organizational growth and implementing long-term
strategies.
• Financial Acumen: Strong fi nancial management skills with a focus on sustainability and growth.
• Leadership Skills: A collaborative and motivational approach to managing teams and engaging with
members.
• Knowledge of the Game: While a background in the golf industry is not essential, familiarity with golf
and a passion for the sport would be advantageous.
