Adare Manor Golf Club
is seeking to recruit an energetic and versitale
General Manager
to manage the club’s affairs and lead its development into the future, during an exciting and historic period in the club’s history. The role is a first for the club and comes at a time of great opportunity for Adare Manor Golf Club.
Main purpose of the position.
Reporting to the management council, the successful candidate will have executive responsibility for
1. All aspects of the administration of the club and its premises within the framework of the club’s business plan, policies, procedures and budgets (making optimum use of modern technology) thus maximising financial performance.
2. Actioning decisions from the management council in a timely, professional manner and providing support as well as monthly and other reporting to ensure delivery of key business plan milestones.
3. The management of full and part time employees of the club, enabling them to achieve high performance, by utilising effective leadership and management techniques.
4. Bringing industry best practice to all areas of the club’s activities and playing a pivotal role in delivering the club’s operational, financial and strategic goals.
5. Providing good communication to the club’s members and other key audiences.
6. The first point of contact for members and visitors and to promote the club externally and internally in a professional and friendly manner, enhancing the reputation of the club.
7. Overseeing the club’s financial reporting and controls in conjunction with the management council and external accountants.
8. The marketing and promotion of the club and its services and facilities to visitors, including interaction with tourism bodies, hotels and other agencies to ensure the club maximises its profile to potential visitors.
9. Developing strategies to attract new members to the club to increase club membership.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced club manager, familiar with all aspects of running a members’ club. Alternatively, a background in hospitality, with a knowledge of golf, would also be appreciated. He/she should be personable, energetic, with a high level of enthusiasm and commitment to the role.
